1. Describe the call system for an elevator.
2. Describe how the firefighter’s service works in an elevator.

I'm no expert but I've been to quite a few elevator "rescues" due to crummy maintenace of the elevators at a hotel my old department responded to.
John Mittendorf's Truck Company Operations published by Fire Engineering has a good section dealing with elevators.
