I'm in Canada so the law is a little diferent.
My question is, have you ever heard of a Landlord being charged as a result of an apartment not being up to code and possibley contributing to a fire injury or death? I'm looking at a dewling with 2 or 3 apts type setups, not large buildings.
Our Town is looking at existing ones here and I'm doing a mailout to Landlords. Looking for an example to provide motivation.
If so could you please give me a link?
