Has anyone requested a computer and software to improve their NFIRS reporting.
We are a small department and need to decentralize our reporting ability. We need the ability to not only report calls for service, but track our volunteers personal and training records, equipment inventory and maintaince records, budget and whatever else comes up.
Does this seem like a valid request?
Does anyone have any recommendations for software that is user friendly, easily upgradable, and will not break the bank?

We were awarded a fire grant in 02 for PPE and computer and program. We use "fire programs". It has worked well for us. We are still using same computer today. We use both programs, station manager and incident reporting. We do have to pay a $350.00 or something yearly maintenance fee. However this entitles you to call them for support, which I do quite regularly.
