    Default Sign in options?

After a call, we have a sign in sheet, its a roster and you initial on the line and which apparatus you were on.
    (example: RG 7470)

well, people forget to list what truck they were on, and so i've been asked to figure out a better way.

so how do you guys do it/any ideas?

What's their incentive for signing the roster?

If you have some sort of credit system for attending calls, just stop creditting people who don't complete the roster.

FWIW, if it's being done for accountability, it needs to be done before the call, not after. After all, if someone is missing, they aren't going to sign the roster under "missing".

you tag onto the truck, you tag the safety officer as you go in, and theres 1 other tag for rehab...

you get your tags back as you're done (clear of the hot zone, going back to the station from the call)

we're just trying to find an easier way once we're back in station...

We had the same problem. Simple solution was that if you don't fill out the sheet correctly (or at all) you don't get credit. Once the few guys noticed their credits dropping, they caught on real quick.

    hmm

with us the "roster" is part of the incident report which is filled out by the operator of each vehicle as part of the driver check list.

Who was on the vehicle, actions taken, supplies used, drivers log filled out. etc

How about the Officer fills out the sheet in the truck on the way home. No one leaves the truck until it is done

At my station, our call roster is on the back of the report. The person filling out the report on scene marks whos there and who isn't. You could try that and just add a slot for which unit they were on.

We have a sheet with the four apparatus listed, and a fifth spot for "Other" response.

They sign the sheet under the truck they rode on. Medical sign-in logs also have a spot for Primary and Secondary attendants.

It is up to the officers on each truck to make sure they sign in. While they occasionally miss a name, we are POC, so they just don't get paid. It's usually worth the 2 hour minimum ($30) to sign the damn sheet.
