Last Friday we responded to a possible stroke and we were on scene within 5 minutes.
The patient was on the ground having fallen, his BP was out of norms and his pulse was weak and tready. he had impared speach and motor functions.
We stabilized him until an ALS engine arrived followed by AMR.
Today we found a thank you card pinned on the station door. They gave him several rounds of drugs enroute and TPA at the hospital. He came home this evening!!
the card thanked us for our fast response, professionalism and medical care, but above all our sensitivity to his families concerns during the wait for the paramedics.
Yeah I'm smiling

Congrats to the Crew. They don't all turn out that way, but once in a while there is a success story like this. That's why we keep trying........Never use Force! Get a Bigger Hammer.
