In Virginia, the City of Hampton has a Velocity RMRP on order, and Stafford County has a Velocity pumper on order for Falmouth, Company 1.

The question is, when the heck are we going to get a picture of one that ISN'T black!!! IMO, pretty bad idea on pierce's part to paint a new chassis black.

Singer Associates had a red-over-white one on display at the Virginia Fire Chief's Association expo in February. I must be one of the few that likes the black paint on the premier one, but the red-and-white one looked nice also...

I think it is a different velocity.
I went back and looked at photos of the black Velocity and noted several differences. The white over red Velocity has a different light bar, front suction and a Kusmal charge meter above the front tire.
Either way I agree, It's sweet in red!
Maybe they will have a red one at FDIC.

Dash,Enforcer, Lance ?????
Is Pierce mfg done taking orders for the Dash , Lance , Enforcer chasis cab, can you only order the new " Velocity " & " Impel " at this time. One of the fire districts in our township will be ordering a new Saber rescue within the next few weeks costing $ 390,000 .

I have heard the well has pretty much run dry on the 06 engines, so has orders on those chassis'. A dept. close to my area was trying to get a Dash ordered, last week I believe, and didn't get it done. I can't say for sure all the 06' motors are gone, however nothing to fit their application was available. Looks like if you want a Saber, you better snag up one of the demos if they are even still available. Good Luck.
