    Default Idaho BLM

    I applied for a summer firefighting position with the BLM at a couple different locations in idaho and crater lake national park. I was wondering, if i am hired, when will i hear back from them? The idaho blm closing dates on the application were jan. 31 and the nps was first week of feb.

    Hope you get the Crater Lake job as it is spectacular country. Way back in my college days I once spent 14 days on the Bybee fire downslope of the Watchman lookout.

    As a contract employee with them I would contact who ever took your applications. The Fire season is aways off and I'm sure they're still processing everyone. Be the squeeky wheel and ask questions. Up here that's not a problem. Good luck and enjoy the view. I spent three weeks in Riggins, Idaho and it was beautiful!!!!

    The BLM and NPS use an electronic application so i didnt meet anyone and it didnt give any numbers.
