LDH, Pagers DHS Grant

Attack,
Really need to think of a complete solution approach instead of shopping cart. Pick one program area and stick to it. Although pagers and LDH are both a concern for you, which is the greater concern? Which could you find funds for locally? I would think LDH would be the better choice for AFG, not to mention that commo equipment should really be done on a regional aspect anyway. So since we're talking about LDH then you have to think about the appliances that you need for LDH as well right? Well then what about the rest of your hose and what about the appliances for that hose? Does any of that need replacing? Now start thinking about coming into voluntary compliance with a statute. Do you have all the equipment you need to comply with NFPA 1901? Now you're starting to look at a complete solution to a specific project.

Ldh
Just LDH. It is 20 years old. I was just wondering what others have written. Well aware of the shopping cart list, but thought I would be able to do both. If not just LDH. We got the pumper last year on DHS, but didnt replace the 5 inch from the old rig. IF anyone has something feel free to email me at tlc@whsd.org

Attack6 both are OK in your case. Pagers are considered "individual needs of the individual department" and are not scrutinxed as heabilly as protables or radios would be and they are also not subject to P-25 compliance and the subsequent stamp of approval from your State Homeland Security office those projects would have to have.I have had zero problem getting pagers through with other projects.

I'm jumping on the band wagon
I'm hoping the my dept will consider the LDH option, particularly if the highest priority this year is funding community needs. If anyone has a narrative they'd also be will to share please forward to kpring@snet.net
