    Default Job Openings

Any tests coming up? Figured it might be a good idea to make a thread for this.

Nope, Madison just tested in the very beginning of February. Those who passed the written take the Physical Agility on June 5. That may have been what you heard. The next time they said they will be testing again is most likely early 2009.

That's good news about Milwaukee. If I don't make it through the entire process at Madison, which I heard will probably not happen since I'm a white male, Milwaukee would definitely be my top choice in WI.

Superior will be testing this fall, HR is not taking applications yet but they sould start soon... Duluth is also testing this fall, They use to let applicants send a self addressed envolope to their HR and they would sent a application when it opens, not sure if they still do but it might be worth the 40 cents to give it a try....... let them know it is for fire apps...

This is directly off the Milwaukee Police and Fire Commission website:

"FIREFIGHTER applications were taken in 2003. The current hiring (eligible) list has been extended through 2007."

So my guess is milwaukee will be taking apps in late '07 or early '08

Someone on the current list told me that their looking to put one more class through. I guess they've hired like 1/3 of what they usually do on a list. Makes sense I guess. Less fires these days which means firefighters can usually work longer.
