Got the call From CalFire yesterday

I was one of six that got picked up for the first round of seasonal jobs! WOOHOO! This is another goal that I can scratch off of my list for this year. This will be an incredible learning experience for me.

CONGRATS, thats one of the roads I'm taking also. But it's hard for me to find an academy around the jersey area to give s-130/190 courses. Goodluck, seasons already picking up, especially in OC.

Well this is going to be my 2nd year working with Calfire, but they are making their calls now and sounds like the season is starting the first week on May, so an earlier season then last years.

Do any of you know which units have started hiring people? I interviewed with 6 NorCal units and 1 SoCal (Monterey-San Benito). I know that Tehema-Glen started calling people and offering jobs, my buddy got the call two days ago. Anyways just curious to see if anyone knows which units have already started picking up people? In particular anyone know if San Mateo-Santa Cruz has started picking up people and how many?
