Default Just got a conditional job offer

Im stoked. Just got a call for a conditional job offer for my local county as a Volunteer Firefighter. Just have to pass the psychological exam and also a Pre-Employment drug screening. Anyone know what i can expect at the Psych test? I'll be fine for the drug testing, just wondering about the psych test is all.

It should be really hard because you have to be sane to pass it. Good Luck!

And them that leave a paying job to run into burning buildings for a $3.00 gas stipend have to REALLY have a few screws loose.Testify,my brothers and sisters.
Seriously, just answer questions like you would answer any question, politely and honestly.Remember this:If the thought of something makes you giggle for more than 15 seconds,it's probably the wrong thing to say at a psychological exam.
If you had one psychological exam, you've had them all. They ask what you would do if,for example, you were spreading tarps over furniture and when you started pushing the couch to the middle of the room, you find a bag full of money.Do you keep it and claim it was burned in the fire if asked where it is,or do you turn it into the IC?(turn it in.You don't want to find it was the tax money for an orphanage)
If a reporter was your friend and an accident victim was a mutual friend and you were asked by the reporter what happened at the scene,do you tell them or recommend that they go to the PIO for details?(Advise that they see the PIO.You might not have all the details and your buddy still has privacy rights concerning his medical treatment, even at a wreck scene.
Basically, they're looking to see where your head is concerning honesty, integrity and moral problem solving.
Like I said,be honest ,polite and don't act like a head case. That's for down time at the station.

Wear what ever you would wear for an interview becuse thats what it is. My psyc was given by a natoriously weird shrink. My advise dont give him/her any info that they dont ask for. If they ask you if you have any guns dont tell them you are waiting for the second coming or that it they are for protecting the voices in your head from other peoples voices. If you have any tattos make sure you have some sort of reason why you got them. Avoid telling them things like "helichopters eat their young" or "Monkeys will eat dirt if you make them". Just my opinion. above all dont lie tell the truth they may try and get you frutrated dont! stay calm. good luck.
