I like to pimp my helmet out just like my ride. It has a strobe on it, just like the orignal Radio Shack version. Four antenna's so my radio will have 3 scanner backups. I have a "I fight what you fear" sticker on the left side, and a "Find'em hot, leave'em wet" sticker on the right. In the front is a Calvin an hobbs with Calvin peeing on a fire. My shield proudly proclaims me as the driver of the support truck.

'The fire went out and nobody got hurt' is a poor excuse for a fireground critique.

My helmet has my goggles, some refelctive tets, and a shield that says firefighter. I wasn't aware a brain bucket required extra gear to perform it's task.

    THAT always cracks me up.

Like showing up on the Big Red Truck, wearing all the kit and slapping on a BA set wasn't enough of a clue for everyone watching.

I agree. The people that put all the stickers and what not on thier helmets are usually the DB's of that dept. My favorite sticker I see is the "I fight what you fear " sticker. The funny part is these people have the cleanest gear and helmet on their dept.

I bought it with my own money but it is great to share your experiences with fellow firefighters, it is great to have video of the incident so you can critique the incident and it also can assist the fire investigators with determining the point of ignition

Ayuh...it certainly is not so you can upload your cool footage to MySpace or YouTube for self-whackification purposes. No sir, no way, never... *LOL*

    Default helmet cam

jrdunkle, where did you get it, what kind, how much? I always thought a helmet cam would be a great teaching tool. No I don't have a self-wackifier my space or stickers on my helmet. I just like to learn.
Might be cool for some motorcyle rides or track days too!

I put nothing on my helmet. I put the helmet on my head and that is all that is needed. As far as the "junk" that is either on my coat (light) or in the pockets, (plairs, knife, sprinkler stops, door wedges, hurst tool, set of irons, etc,)

Why add weight to a helmet that is already heavy enough???

Doesn't make a lot of sense.
