I need the New York law that gives the Chief of any FD to enter any school in his area of responsibility and conduct a fire drill unannounced. Thank you and Stay Safe

No such law exists that I'm aware of. NYS education law requires schools to conduct 10 drills/yr I believe.

In NYS, there are VERY few rules that give authority to personnel outside of the school faculty.
For example, even during a school bus accident - I don't believe the fire department can legally make decisions about the children's safety. I know my department has gotten into some weird situations with school authorities in the past.
