Lightbulb Mutual Aid Call Volume Clarification

Under the M/A headings it say 'don't count any calls above' or something like that.

That's only for the mutual aid given section. So if you had 12 total structure fires and 9 were away games, you only count 3 in the Structure Fire box, and 9 get added to the Mutual Aid Given box.

But for those 3 you had, if you invited other teams to play, then 3 goes in the mutual aid received.

Otherwise if you did the 'don't count above', you'd have nothing in your totals and everything in mutual aid. Which isn't the purpose. It's to differentiate those actually having urban renewal, and those that go to urban renewal in someone else's backyard.

Hope that clears it up a littlef for y'all.

And what's funny is that this year the app #'s are assigned by when you start the app, not when you submit it. Guess they saw us going over that debate last year on how that happens. Remember, Big Brother knows all....

Oh and I used the light bulb icon because I used the exclamation point already. Have to keep things fresh...

This may have been asked before, where does automatic aid fit in. On all structure fires at least 3 departments in our county respond. Is that also considered mutual aid for the grant numbers?

I would say so. Even if it's auto, you are leaving your district and going next door.

Correct, the numbers don't differentiate between auto and regular mutual aid. So if it didn't happen in your yard, it's mutual aid.
