Please support my daughter Katie Johnston in the 18th Annual Gelatin Splash sponsored by the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
She is jumping in memory of her Grandfather, W. George Wood, who died of Leukemia in 1979 and to honor me, (Bill Johnston, aka Batchief99), still in remission from Non-Hodgkinís Lymphoma and her Uncle recently diagnoised with a lymphoma.
The actual event is on June 15, 2006 at 6:00 PM to 9 PM and it will be held at the Buffalo/Niagara Marriott, 1340 Millersport Highway, Amherst, NY.
Last year she raised $1548 so Katie knows what it feels like to slide into 1,000gallons of jiggly sticky gelatin and she still wants to go again. She needs to raise $300 to take the big plunge but her goal is to raise $2,000 for the event.
Several of you helped last year and we hope you'll be able to step up again.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the world's largest voluntary health organization dedicated to funding blood cancer research, education, and patient services. To donate please go to the site listed below...you can keep track as she closes in on her goal!

Kate has met her original goal of $2,000.
With only 3 days left till she jumps into "dessert" she has increased her goal to $2,700 .
We will post the final tally after Friday.
She is splashing this year in honor of my continued remission with non-hodgkin's lymphoma, in memory of her grandfather who died of leukemia in 1979 and also this year in honor of her Uncle (also a firefighter) who is battling recently diagnosed post transplant lymphoproliferative disorder(lymphoma). There are only a few days left until she makes the splash in the 1,000 gallons of gelatin.
Local article on the jumper..........
Our thanks to all that have helped her meet her goal to help wipe out Leukemia and Lymphoma.
