Our fire department runs BLS ambulance service for out town and a neighboring town. I noticed that the funding priorities for vehicles lists ambulances very low. Since we are "affiliated" this makes it very difficult to get a grant for an ambulance under the fire side of the grant program. Just my opinion...that stinks. I am still tasked with writing a grant for an ambulance and am looking for any guidance out there. If anyone has any successful narratives for an ambulance I would love to see it. I am a little fuzzy about how to approach writing a grant for an ambulance. I'll leave my email below. Hang in there everybody.
