    Default Pierce Quantum ~steps~

Is it possible to get a Quantum withOUT the fold down steps?

It isn't a bad rig, but I'm not too keen on an engine that is so big that you need fold down steps just to climb aboard.
If it moves,,,, It will break. It just seems that simpler is better.

We have 23 Quantums at work, the oldest dating back to 1996. The steps have had very, very few failures, and we're running nearly 40,000 calls a year. We do weekly maintenance on the rigs, including step pivot and gas strut lubrication, and they've proven to be good for us.

Boston, MA; Beltsville, MD; and New Haven, CT all have Quantums without fold-down steps.

The new ones don't have them. May be an option. But never seen any torn off, since when you shut the door the step retract!!

Actually, both the older style and the new Quantums have the fold-down steps, getting them without the steps is the option.
