My condolences to the Scott family and the Menands Fire Department of New York. Fire Police Captain Edgar Scott, 75, a volunteer for 36 years, died Tuesday April 3, 2007. Edgar was driving a department van while responding to a motorcycle accident on I-787 with two other fire police members when they collided with a propane truck. Edgar was ejected and died at the scene. The two other fire police officers were injured in the crash. I have created a permanent memorial for Edgar on my website.
