Welcome. Memphis is more interested in paramedics right now instead of EMT's. Go and take the test if you haven't. I know the application period has passed and you may have to wait another 5 or so years before they have another one. Stay with FEDEX and get that good money and go to college and get a degree in Public Administration and one in Fire Sceince and maybe you can get a good job in a higher paid fire department.
