    Default Thermal Imagers and compliance

A quick question , because I cannot find anything anywhere, are there any standards that purchasing thermal imaging cameras bring you into compliance with. I thought there may be something in NFPA 1500, but I am going cross eyed looking.

There is no standard for the TIC in general, but NFPA 1500 references it in a general way. Amongst everything else that a TIC can be used for, it's typically one of the tools used/carried by RIT/RIC's.

NFPA 1500-8.8.2.1: In a nut shell, part of that section states a RIC shall have "any specialized equipment" to accomplish the task. TIC would be considered a specialized piece of equipment.
