Chief Mike Shortt
Its been 7 years this March 31, and it still feels like yesterday. He passed away from a heart attack he suffered while training his firefighters. He was accepted into the National Fallen Firefighters, and the California state fallen firefighters. He was my Step Father, but I thought of him as my father. He taught me most of everything I know and I keep doing what I do so hopefuly he's proud of what I am. Thanks for reading, makes me feel better talking about it.Tom W. Engineer/EMT
