KSDK - Late Thursday night, an accident caused an ambulance to overturn.

Police say a vehicle hit the ambulance from behind, causing the ambulance driver to lose control. Police say the ambulance driver was not to blame for the accident.

The ambulance belongs to the Abbot Ambulance company.

The accident happened in the 10,100 block of Manchester in Kirkwood.

Witnesses say the other vehicle, a Camaro, clipped the ambulance from behind. 2 people were in the Camaro. Both of them and the 3 people in the ambulance were taken to local hospitals. Their conditions were not released Friday morning.

Just like the person driving the car was the vehicle driver, the person driving the ambulance is the ambulance driver. It's really not that big a deal.

Do you think the guy in the back still has to pay for his ride to the hospital?

If someone with multiple personalities threatens to kill himself, is it considered a hostage situation?

Oh hell i missed that part, thank god, I might have to ask for hazard pay for a shift. I got nailed one time by a fool who rear ended the rig, said he didn't see us! My pt asked if he had to pay for the circus ride, nice guy and took it in stride, my guess was his b/p was better than mine.

Actually there was an EMS student in the back, and I heard he was the most seriously injured, maybe a few fx's. The "alleged" impaired driver "allegedly" left a bar and a hit another vehicle and left the scene before he or she slammed the back of the ambulance at a high rate of speed, like over 60 mph.

The apt. unit was vacant, luckily.

STL was just ranked #2 for "Worst Drivers" in the country, based on fatal car wrecks, high speed wrecks, DUI's....etc. Case in point........

    Default Crash

to set the record straight yes there was a student in back, and yes he got the worst of the injuries; since he was a student he was not covered, but the school covered his medical. There has been no charges brought against the woman driving as of today the city of Kirkwood has yet to even submit a report on the incident. I will also testify to the poor quality of driving in our fair city; these people are nuts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
