After a few months of busy research our department has decided to take our old large rescue vehicle and make a smaller air/cascade truck with seasonal rescue equipment on it. We are looking at a 4300 international chassis due to PTO that drives the compressor , PTO generator minumum 20K unit needed. And a 11-12' stainless body.
Who would you recommend to build such a small unit, cost is a factor, and builder must supply air system and all air system equipment, fill station, bottles etc.

New squad
Check out Marion. Their specialty is building squads. Our International 4400 was built in 1998 and it is the most flawless vehicle we have ever owned.

Did you see the SVI at the Springfield show? they had a nice small air/light unit. We looked hard at SVI a few years ago but our budget limited us to something far less and it shows. SVI had what we felt to be the best built rescue body. My 2 sense anyway.
