I am a newly appointed ems Lt.. Over the few years i have been on our department we have had only 2 new recruits. Most of our members have been on for a long time 20 years plus. Our fire department is separate form the ems side. My problem is that because of the veteren emts we have they are not looking for changes. there was even a problem with me becoming Lt only after 3 years of service. I need some ideas to poke around to find out ways that i can bring to the rest of the group so that we can get more volunteers. We do have a lot of fire volunteer's because i also am one but nobody knows what to do with ems and i am looking for help to provide better recruitment and retention. Thanks
