I doubt this thread will start since I have tried twice already.
I was wondering if anybody has had any luck using public safety testing to get a job in WA? Anybody know what kind of scores it takes to be in the top 300?

I know Kent has 16 openings already for next year, and Gig Harbor has 5.
Did you test with Spokane?

I took the test in '04 and the cut off score for that test was an 88%. I got a 97.4% and I recieved my ranking from Bellevue and I was #18 of 360 or so. I got called for interviews for four departments, but I never went because of some personal reasons. I don't know if the testing process is the same, but thats all the info I know.

Not endorsed but...
You have got to take their test. Especially this cycle since it is the list that should be going out to most departments that utilize them.
I can think of 12 guys I know from Used-ta department that were hired from their test who now work for Belleview, Redmond, and Tukwila.
You definitely need to score high (90's) to even make a first interview though.
Hang tough,
