Thumbs up Yamaha Law Loan program

As a FYI to others Yamaha has a law loan program that is also available to fire departments. Last summer we received two Yamaha jet skis and now this spring a Yamaha Rhino. Our cost to this point are only trailers and maintenance. They took the Jet Skis back in December and gave us two new ones. My understanding is about every six months you return the items and get a new unit. This allows the dealers to sell them as current year models. Down side is no modifications can be made any stickers / decals need to be removed, ect. But other then that this has been a great program for us.

    Default would like more info

Hey this sounds like a great program; as we protect a fair amount of water and a famous Island that draws folks from all around.

Did you reach out through Yamaha corporate or a local dealer?

Also when are you going to put some photos of the new crimson rig on the website?

Our contact was only through the local dealer, they were very helpful. We had to simply write a letter of request on letter head. No hoops to jump through. Our dealer was happy to do it as they get more units in the community and they can sell them with out having to floor plan them with Yamaha.

We recieved the two jet skis and a 4x4 Rhino - very simular to the ranger ect.

we tried to buy as much additional stuff as we could direct from the dealer to try to show some appreciation - trailers, life jackets, ect

Crimson on the website - one of these days our web person does a great job for us as long as its on their schedule - we cant complain.

I do not remember if it is Yamaha of Honda, but one local department that handles water rescues for our county has done this for several years. They finally bought one about 2 years ago. It was/is a great program to get started with untill a department decides to buy one.

In my former police/fire department that I retired form we hade been particpated in their jet ski program for more thna 10 years now and we got two new Waverunners on loan from them ,which we turned back in whenever they called for them and they always gave us two new ones to use for our 6 lakes in our jurisdication. We supplied the trailer, maintenance and insurance of them. Great program, nothing but a letter to the dealer asking for help.We also ran a jet ski water safety program and always touted them as the sponsor for it and we sent two officers to a jet ski water rescue train the trainer calsss and now conudct water rescue training for first responders every year on it.
