Toddler Spends Birthday Night In Car Alone
Dad Says He Forgot Child Was In Car
POSTED: 9:47 am EDT May 14, 2007
PASSAIC, N.J. -- A toddler spent the night of his second birthday in a car after his father forgot the boy was strapped in the back seat, police said.
Adonis Ribott was found about nine hours later on Sunday. He was treated for dehydration and heat exhaustion. His father, Danny Ribot, 32, was charged with endangering the welfare of a child.
Police said the father told them he remembered taking the boy to his birthday party in Paterson on Saturday and waking up in his Clifton home on Sunday. Ribot called police after he couldn't remember where he'd left his son.
Police believed the father had parked the car at an auto body shop and walked about a half-mile home.
The toddler's mother will care for her son for the time being.

You know, I once left my dogs tied outside the local grocery store - tied them to the bike rack, entered by one door, walked out with my groceries through another door and right up the block to my house. Ate dinner, watched a movie... took me about two hours to notice that something was missing. Horrified, I went back to the store and there they were, peacefully snoring together among the bicycles.
But your kid?!? You hear these stories several times a year, and it's always so hard for me to understand. I'm going to be a mom for the first time in the middle of August, and I sure plan to always know where I left my kid!

Another POS parent (and I use the term parent loosely)!
I won't even leave my girls in the truck at the gas station if I need to go inside to pay, and they're 4 and 8 years old!
What the hell is wrong with people?!

Just because it's called a throw bag, doesn't mean you throw the whole bag... you're supposed to hold onto the rope.
