It is the first 81' Kme aerialcat sold in New Jersey. There are other 95' & 100 ' Kme tower ladders in service at departments around the state!

Maybe no tank so they can just use the truck as a truck but bosst there pressure when using the aerial master stream. This way there is no chance of being used as an engine. Also this eliminates putting a pumper with 300 ft. of the truck when using the MS.

I dont have a cost, but can find out, I have a few friends there. As for the lack of a pump you are correct. They use the truck as a truck. They have 2 pumpers and a tandem axle pumper-tanker. They also aquired an ex-airport crash rig from Teterboro Airport which they cover.

Maybe if Pierce built a ( 75' & 81' Mid-Mount Platform ) some fire department can go and order one !...But they " Do Not ".

They had a 85' Peter Pirch Midmount stick, so maybe a longer truck won't fit into there apparatus bay. The cost difference is about $ 30,000 .

If it was a Pierce it would be on a three axle rear end and have a permanent sling attached to the front for a wrecker.

But that aside, nice rig. A number of departments buy tower ladders with pumps but without tanks.
Stay low and move it in.

    Be safe.

    Talking Let's play Jeopardy!

DaGonz: "Alex, I'll take Firehouse forums for $1000..."

Alex Trebeck: "You have hit the daily double! How much will you wager?"

DaGonz: "I'll bet it all $10,000 and make it a true Daily Double"

Alex Trebeck: Here is your clue....

Wait, do I see a potential coincidence here? 807 can't spell and bashes KME and 2101 does the same. Hmmm....

What is that comment supposed to mean anyway? Have you had a bad experience?

Sorry Gonz, no 20,000$ for you.

You did not answer in the form of a question.

It did. Exclamation point was used for emphasis.

I saw the " Moonachie,NJ FD " Kme 81" Aerialcat in person this weekend in Wildwood, the sales reps say that this model platform has the shortest wheelbase and O.A.L. of any midmount tower ladders in the fire service. The MFD cab model at 43'-2" !...
