My condolences to the Keane family and the Waterbury Fire Department of Connecticut. Captain John Keane, 37, a 12 year veteran of the Waterbury Fire Department, died Tuesday May 22, 2007. John was responding to a kitchen fire on Saturday May 19th when the engine he was responding in collided with a responding ladder truck. He was ejected and suffered head and internal injuries. He was transported to Waterbury Hospital, and shortly after to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he passed away from his injuries three days later.
