    It is to even the playing field. the whole altitude/advantage thing.

    Not from thailand, but my wife is. I lived there for awhile and really love it. I go back almost yearly.

    yeah i went to Phuket in February and leaving was one of the hardest things i've ever had to do. i don't think i'll vacation anywhere else but Thailand from now on!
