On what grounds would you appeal your evaluation? Did you prepare in advance to understand the process before your poly?

I only took one poly my whole life and passed. But, midway during the process, the laptop computer took a dump and the Test Admin. was like totally taking the laptop apart to fix it. (battery, wires, etc) So I took mental note that if I failed, I would use that little nugget in a protest.

Did anything unusual or a mechanical failure happen during the process?

yes sir i bought all the manuals and it did not help at all. no mechanical failures, no real answers, just that i had failed. the question was over drug use, and i currently work as a medic. i am quite sure i have not used any drugs in the last year. i even have the drug test results to prove it

Have you used drugs ever? It could be that you passed the Poly in the sense that you did not lie, but failed in the sense that the department you were testing for did not like what you admitted to. I have seen results for Polygraphs that showed no evidence of deception, but just because they told the truth doen't mean they will pass. It all depends on what the department will allow, and the length of time since the persons last "indiscretion." Usually drug use within the past 5 years is an automatic disqualifier.

    What manuals?

Drug use in the last year? Has to be past that 5 year bench mark. And it comes down to what drugs you used? How many times?

Bought the manuals? When I said the laptop broke, I was talking about the machine hooked up to the polygraph.

Anyways, I dont know much more on how to help you. Maybe call the testing agency and ask them (nicely) how to file a protest.
