    Default Training budget help

The purpose of our organization is to get quality training out to smaller department that do not have the funding for it.

I am working on a grant right now and need some info to back us up.

    1. Are you a volunteer or paid department?
    2. Number of members?
    3. How much is your yearly training budge from the community?
    4. Square miles of coverage?

Is it time to change our training yet ?

    3. SC Fire Academy Classes are free to station, our regular training is whatever we need. We operate on about $11,000 a year total operating budget, minus a few major items.

    1. Are you a volunteer or paid department?
    Volunteer

    2. Number of members?
    ~40

    3. How much is your yearly training budge from the community?
We don't have a separate budget for training, all training expenses come from our General Use budget, which also covers equipment purchases. Basic FF1 is free. Most courses at the County academies are no cost. 1 other academy charges ~$50 for a course. I would say our training costs per year average around ~$1200.

    4. Square miles of coverage?
1.5 sq miles first due. However, our FAST response is first due to a much larger area.

    1) Career department
    2) 41 members
    3) $27,000 for training. This does not include overtime related to sending someone out of town for a class, which is paid from a different line item. For example, we just send eight members to EMT refresher (24 hours) and two to the full class. Tuition less than $3,000, overtime approximately $14,000.
    4) 17 square miles
