    Default Another Anniversary

Since I will not be around for this one. Let us also remember Steelworker Second Class Robert D. Stethem

SW2 Stethem was aboard TWA Flight 847 June 15, 1985, returning to the United States from an assignment somewhere in Greece. After TWA Flight 847 was hijacked and landed in Beirut, the hijackers discovered that SW2 Stethem was a member of the the US Military. When their demands were not met, he was beat and tortured. They eventually opened the passenger door of the aircraft and executed Petty Officer Stethem, dumping his body on the runway to "disgrace" him.

For his sacrifice, SW2 Stethem was awarded the Bronze Star for Valor and the Purple Heart posthumously. His sacrifice was also memorialized in the movie "Delta Force"

Amateurs practice until they get it right; professionals practice until they cannot get it wrong. Which one are you?

'The fire went out and nobody got hurt' is a poor excuse for a fireground critique.
