The top of the Application Status page now has a red link that says "SAFER Application Tutorial 2007". But...when it's clicked it goes to the AFG App Tutorial.
My conclusion--it's the beginning of the web site changes for SAFER 2007, and really wasn't supposed to be visible yet.

I have seen that link for approx 2 weeks. Time to sharpen that pencil.
Interesting! A few months ago, I had heard that they were going to switch FP and S with SAFER because (with the exception to 2006), FP and S tends to fall around the time of Fire Prevention planning/events and that obviously is an issue if the Fire Prevention folks are supposed to be doing the grants, too. :confused:
Any ideas or rumors about the app period being established?
Peer review is set for the last two weeks of July
Guess that puts the opening around Monday if we're going to have 30 days of open App Period. Hope the PG shows up soon...
Per the tutorial:
The SAFER application period runs from May 29, 2007, through June 29, 2007.
