    Default SAFER soon?

    The top of the Application Status page now has a red link that says "SAFER Application Tutorial 2007". But...when it's clicked it goes to the AFG App Tutorial.

    My conclusion--it's the beginning of the web site changes for SAFER 2007, and really wasn't supposed to be visible yet.

    I have seen that link for approx 2 weeks. Time to sharpen that pencil.

    Interesting! A few months ago, I had heard that they were going to switch FP and S with SAFER because (with the exception to 2006), FP and S tends to fall around the time of Fire Prevention planning/events and that obviously is an issue if the Fire Prevention folks are supposed to be doing the grants, too.

    The SAFER application period runs from May 29, 2007, through June 29, 2007.

    oops

    Sounds like some updating still needs to be done.

    Which is probably why you need to use the hidden link
    to get to the tutorial. It is the link posted on the
    page, when you click on it still takes you to the AFG
    guidance, but like last year you just replace AFG in the
    toolbar with safer....

    They did not want it released yet.
