    Default Mercury Guidelines?

    Can anyone provide a copy of their SOP/SOG for Mercury spills? I would appreciate it.

    Give your EPA region guy a call. They've got a pretty good SOG / SOP.

    Simple mercury guidelines:

    If you don't respond as a hazmat team; call an organization that has a hazmat team.

    Firefighters at the hazmat operational level don't mitigate mercury spills -- even if they're just from a single broken thermometer.

    The Code is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules.
