    Default Written Exam

I am trying to qualify for the fire suppression program at Chemeketa Community College and I have to take a written exam that tests general aptitude and requires no prior knowledge of firefighting, does anyone know what would be on this exam and a good way for me to prepare for it, thanks

Try the hiring and employment forum, you'll have better luck there. I would expect it to be similar to a dept. test, which commonly includes: basic math, reading, mechanical aptitude, directional orientation, and judgement and reasoning questions. I've personally found Norman Hall's "Firefighter Exam Preperation Book" to be very helpful. Good luck and hit up the hiring forum because they'll be able to give you even more direction.
