Yea, a new character could be a good move. They haven't gone into detail with him yet though, so there's no guarantee that he'll be staying. I don't really even think they mentioned his name yet. Maybe during the dinner time conversation about the 'spank bank' Lou might have said it, but I didn't catch it. Who knows, will he stay, or will he be gone soon? Only time will tell.
But we are only 2 episodes into the season....

The new guy, the driver, has actually been around for a long time. I want to say since the first season but I can't quite remember. I know he was in the third season, he drove Mike to the betting place on the horse race towards the end of the season. It sure seems like they're giving him more time though which I can't complain about, always nice to add a new character in.

I think his name is Mills or Miles. He's actual FDNY, an employee has to drive the trucks, that's why you always see him driving. I think he's been around for the whole show but they just started giving him lines and screen time. I think they interviewed him on the second season DVD extras.
It was great to have Marisa Tomei on the show but now Jennifer Esposito too?? Yum. They seem to have more comedy this season which I like.
I'm at work on Wednesdays but I can still record with the good ol' VCR and watch it when I get home in the morning.

The spank bank discussion was pretty damn good. I loved what the Chief said about his wife, but when Lou took everyone's knife, that had to take the cake.

I'm afraid it probably did; seems I remember them mentioning before the season started that one of the major characters was going to be killed off...started getting that sinking feeling when he told his son he loved him and started primping in front of the mirror...

I saw that coming, but I was like "nah, it can't be". If you get on the website and read the preview for next week it really did happen. Sucks tho he was such a good character.

Had to rewind again to believe it !! - I had that feeling that something was about to go down when the chief was getting all groomed up.
I guess we'll see in two weeks what the outcome is

If I were to take a guess where the house on the beach was, (since I only watched the last episode) I would say, The Hamptons. It is at the end of Long Island. Very expensive beach houses. With her taste, it is right up her alley... or, I mean, something she could afford.
Missed this week's episode... Honestly, I was not that interested after befriending a few FDNY, but now it looks like your saying the Chf dies at the end? I like him. Heard he was actually a FF? Guess I will catch it tonight.Last edited by firetruckred; 06-29-2007 at 10:11 PM.

Well... I got to watch the first 40 minutes of the episode... then the tones went off.

Someone anonymous caller reported arching wires. Which when we got there we determined to be lightning from the approaching storm. So sadly I missed the ending. Darn... hopefully I can stay awake long enough to watch it tonight- without another call. :-P

The FD in question should be Oyster Cove.
The driver in the show is Niels Jorgensen.

Wow.... sure as hell did! And the whole skipping this week leaves the suspense killing me. The creators have a great way of leaving off episodes. The way you see what's about to happen, and the screen blacks out... and then (not ruining it for those who haven't seen it). Just crazy. Really kicks up the suspense.Woah. No way. That will make your jaw drop. They leave you baited for sure!
Can't wait for next Wednesday night!

Damn.....I'm sure going to miss the Chief. Pretty significant character change. Wonder what he will be doing now? Must have had something else lined up.
