For starters you can show us how many successful democracies have been created through external intervention.
Germany comes to mind. Bosnia, Kosovo, to name a couple of others. And I'm sure there are some others, we have been sticking our noses in other peoples business for 100 years. LMAO Just thought of another one. How about Israel??

How many countries have turned from democracy by our intervention?
Iraq, Iran, Cuba, Vietnam, Korea, Panama and a coalition of other countries.
Democracy cannot be forced onto a people. They have to want it and they have to fight for it.Last edited by SamuelFire; 07-17-2007 at 09:28 AM.

Germany had been a democracy prior to Hitler's seizing power. The population was familiar with the concept.
Thank you President Clinton.
What about Israel. They've been a democracy since their inception in the late 40's. Who or what was the external force?Politics is like driving. To go forward select "D", to go backward select "R."

And we restored it.
And if you thank Bill Clinton for Bosnia and Kosovo then you must use consistent logic and than George Bush for Iraq.
An who was a major force in the creation of Israel and has pumped billions into the military machine there? Who has also supported Israel as the put down Muslims and other Arabs? That's right, the United States.
Come to think of it, didn't we have something to do with Iran getting a constitution in 1979 and installing a democracy there?

The population was prepared to reinvigorate a democracy. Something that can't be said in Iraq.
If Bush had used logic or a consistent reason for invading Iraq the analogy might apply. Sadly it doesn't.
Supplying military might has nothing to do with the populace desiring a democratic form of government.
And we should be prepared for an Islamic government that takes hold in Iraq similar to the one in Iran. A government that speaks of us as the Great Satan. Thank you Georgie.Politics is like driving. To go forward select "D", to go backward select "R."

Wow...just read this. When I post about many issues with the righties here, I mean to insult. Don't like it? Cry me a river.Do you ever post when it is not abusive, insulting, or poor taste?
A personal attack. Imagine that. Talk about poor taste. What's wrong with meeting girls on the internet? I've met a lot of nice girls that way. What are you? Some kind of backwoods hick? You should try it...or just stick to the "pick up the first fat drunk chick that looks at you" method you're used to using at the local watering hole, I guess. Whatever works for you.Perhaps that is why you had to go to internet dating - every female
local to you decided you were too much of a creep?
