    Default 1980 Scope part needed

    Hi all,

I have a broken right front, rear spring hanger bracket on my 1980 Mack Aerialscope. My local suspension company cannot locate one for me. Does anyone have a suggestion or a place to purchase one?

    Thanks,

    Captain Lou

I would try ebay. If you can't find it there try craigslist.

    Default 1980 Mack Aeroscope

You might want to try the New York City FD. Who knows, maybe they still have some old parts hanging around. I understand they still have some Scopes left in reserve.

If that has the Mack "camelback" suspension, check some of these: Tidewater Mack in the Norfolk, Va. area. The Mack dealer in Manchester, N.H. Both of them used to keep parts for older Macks. There's a company on U.S. 22 in New Alexandria, Pa. that has lots of older Mack stuff, too. I can't seem to pull up their name. If you have any connections in the Pittsburgh area, see if they can help. They may or may not be a Mack dealership. Interstate Truck Equipment in Hagerstown, Md., a Mack dealership and major refurbisher of 'Scopes and other CF Macks.

Try some of those, see what you can come up with.

I'll be getting back to you pretty soon on the foam thing.

Stay safe out there, everyone goes home!
