I talked to the administrative assistant for this agency and she very kindly gave me a complete rundown of how many people took and passed the test. She also told me where I stood before and after my veteran's preferance. I suggest giving her a call for anybody who took the test. She was the most informed and helpful admin. assistant that I've spoken with. I forget the exact numbers, but something like only 270 people passed it out of 680. I did think that it was a very hard test, but I was still surprised by these #'s.
Does anybody have any experience with this particular test and as to how many people usually get interviews off of a joint test like this. There were about 10 participating agencies that used this test.

I took that same test for Tualatin Valley fire department back in Jan. I didn't think that it was too hard then and I didn't think that it was too hard now. It will be interested to see if I pass or not though. Did she say when the results will be mailed out?

We must have taken different tests because I got my results yesterday. Are you talking about the Bates Technical College test in Tacoma? If it was the same test just give them a call and they'll probably tell you how you did over the phone. I'm sure you did good because I didn't do too hot and still finished reasonably high. I struggled on the mechanical portion. Do you know of any helpful mechanical principles books? I have the Barron's prep book and Norman Hall's prep book, which both cover some of it, but I still need some work.

Really, just call and they will tell you over the phone? I just might have to do that before work tomorrow

Well I finally got an email back from them a couple days ago and found out that I passed with a 80.96 score. Who else passed and what was your score

I passed with a 85.1. Not too sure where that puts me in the rankings. I guess the cut off was 80%. Are the practice CPAT test a requirement?

Bates
The cutoff was approximately 81 percent. Have you actually spoken to someone?
