    Overturned Septic Tank Cleaning Truck??............

No, an open top with a canvas cover tractor trailor. The driver had just departed from our waste water plant and was starting up a hill when he dropped his load.....

Yup, that's what I was thinking when I used it

I was originally going to use the same reply as the one Ladder 8 used for mine LOL. But it didn't really work because I realized his said "oh" not "ah" so I used "ah poo" to see where the next poster took it from there

Didn't expect him to have the same thought process as me

The other day,I listened to an older Tim Wilson routine about how the Murrah Building was brought down by fertilizer and diesel fuel.
He then remininsced about putting dog doo and kerosene on someone's porch and lighting it.
He said he realized that dog doo and kerosene weren't all that far unrelated to fertilizer and diesel fuel, and that if they'd put a detonator in that bag, they could have blown their neighbor's porch off.

Once, when I was driving a truck for a local steel company, I was traveling between Montgomery, AL and Birmingham, when another truck lost a load of chicken guts on I-65. The traffic backup was several miles because they closed the road to wash/clean up the biohazard spill. For months after the accident, there was a large greasy spot on the highway shoulder... Oh, and that pleasant smell....

    Chicken poo

    Horse poo

    Mulched garden cuttings

Vegetable waste and shredded paper from the house.

A foot thick layer of the last two with a good thickness of horse doo and a thin layer of chicken stuff.

Alternate the layers in a 4 foot cubed wooden box with vent / breathing gaps between the boards.

Water each succesive layer well as you build it.

Cover with an old carpet square, plastic on top held down with wood or rocks.

Leave for 5 to 6 months.

Viola, you have got gold for your garden, or a darned good political commentary.

    Your choice.

One post.. so many threads to put it into heeeheheeee

    "SERVITIUM NULLI SECUNDUS"

    Subject: Manure.... A True Story

I have always wanted to know this!!!!

Manure: In the 16th and 17th centuries, everything had to be transported by
ship and it was also before commercial fertilizer's invention, so large
    shipments of manure were common.

It was shipped dry, because in dry form it weighed a lot less than when wet,
but once water (at sea) hit it, it not only became heavier, but the process
of fermentation began again, of which a by product is methane gas. As the
stuff was stored below decks in bundles you can see what could (and did)
    happen.

Methane began to build up below decks and the first time someone came below
at night with a lantern, BOOOOM!

Several ships were destroyed in this manner before it was determined just
    what was happening.

After that, the bundles of manure were always stamped with the term "Ship
High In Transit", which meant for the sailors to stow it high enough off the
lower decks so that any water that came into the hold would not touch this
volatile cargo and start the production of methane.

Thus evolved the term "S.H.I.T ." , (Ship High In Transport) which has come
down through the centuries and is in use to this very day.

You probably did not know the true history of this word.

    Neither did I.

I had always thought it was a golf term.
If you don't do it RIGHT today, when will you have time to do it over? (Hall of Fame basketball player/coach John Wooden)
