A friend of mine has a black N5A. He has just been promoted to Lt. and in our county, Lieutenants wear yellow helmets. He is wanting to make his natural so he doesn't have to keep changing the color of his helmet, just the color of his shield. Does anybody know how to do that, or if it can even be done?
Thanks for the help in advance.

Black to Natural N5A

"I have no ambition in this world but one, and that is to be a fireman. The position may, in the eyes of some, appear to be a lowly one; but who we know the work which the fireman has to do believe that his is noble calling. Our proudest moment is to save lives. Under the impulse of such thoughts, the nobility of the occupation thrills us and stimulates us to deeds of daring, even of supreme sacrifice."

The helmet needs to be bead blasted and then dyed to whatever color you want. When you paint a leather, the paint doesn't allow the leather to breathe and shortens the lifetime of the helmet.

Thanks for the help. Do you know what Cairns uses to seal the leather on a natural?
