Default In Houston now - here is the scoop on the PT

After reading so many post of people freakin out about the PT I figured I would let you know what happened today. We all lined up for pushups and situps. 2 minutes each. Pace yourself cause they rather see you do the whole 2mins than you bust them out and sit there for the other minue. Then we did the fireman carry. 25yrds and then turn around for another. You could do a standard fireman carry or a piggy back style carry. Then it was a sprint, 25ydrs to and back.

People it aint hard. We had some bigger guys with us and they all passed as well. Honestly if you cant do this I dont feel comfy working with you. Well that breaks it down for you guys.

Thanks Firedawg!!!! Pacing yourself sounds good to me!!!! Good luck over there. How long will you be in Houston before they ship you out? Then where do you go...Dubai? Any indication where you'll go? My wife would kind of like to know the time frames to give her some idea.
How heavy was the firefighter carry? We have a manikin here that has to weight around 180-200lbs everyone hates the thing!!!LOL

Expect to be in Houston for a week. Cant really talk about the different ways of getting there but currently we have 3 options. We wont find out which one till the day before take-off. You will find out what base you will be going to once your process in Baghdad. Thats another week. As for the carry, you use your PT partner.

My God I'm so glad this issue is finally settled!

People have been saying for a long time on here that the PT test is a joke. Alright, so lately a couple guys posted slightly different descriptions of the same test. Yet some of you still wanted/needed more details. For God's sake, if someone tells you "it's a joke" or "it's a piece of cake" three hundred times, how much more detail do you need?

Unless you are a fat blob and/or have a heart condition, DON'T SWEAT THE PT TEST! Odds are that even if you are a fat slob you won't break a sweat.
