Default Looking for HazMat Tech Train the Trainer

I am a full time industrial firefighter. The company I work for has decided to send a few of us to school to be instructors. There has been much debate over what school to send us too. If any one could provide me with names and locations of some good haz mat schools that provide the train the trainer option it would help us out greatly. We are located in The Upper Peninsula of Michigan, the company would prefer a reginal option. ie a school located within the mid-west.

    Thanks in advace.

    Try www.iectraining.org

They are located in CA, but they have instructors across the nation. They are more than willing to send instructors where ever it takes to get the job done. Some of the last instructors that I got were from New York and Louisanna.

The IAFF offers this class. I took it a few months ago. Very well done.

    Try here:

If you are a fire fighter outside of your plant, try looking into getting your county, state or federal DHS to pay for some of it, if you go as a member of a fire department. It is a possibility to try for funding.
    Good luck.
