Firefighter/Mechanic

Cloverdale Rural Fire Protection District is hiring to fill one (1) a Part time, Summer/Fall position of Firefighter/Mechanic.

Hourly rate of $12.00 - $19.00 per hour depending upon qualifications. Opportunity exists for this position to become full time.

Appointment to the position will be made upon merit, demonstrated ability and fitness, which shall be ascertained by interview, testing, task performance, and background investigation.

This position is not an entry level position and applicants must have at least three years structural and wild land fire fighting experience along with Officer development course work and experience. District desires individual with strong mechanical repair background with small and large engine equipment/apparatus.

Application Packets (resume required) may be picked up at the Cloverdale Rural Fire District main fire station 68787 George Cyrus Rd., Sisters, OR 97759 (541-548-4815) during normal office hours (08:30-17:30 hrs. Monday-Friday). The Application packet and Resume must be returned to the Main Fire Station no later than Friday July 20, 2007 @ 5:00 P.M..

Applicants will be notified by phone if they are accepted to attend the interview, written test, and task performance evaluations scheduled for Friday, July 27, 2007 at 09:00 a.m.

While the position is considered temporary part time, the work schedule will include a routine 40 hour work week, Monday through Friday, 08:30 - 17:30 hrs..
