Default What boots do you wear?

im currently in a Citizens Fire Academy and all the time we get to put full turnout gear on and we have some of the worst boots. im going to try to find a picture of them online somewhere, but that are very hard and hurt your feet after a while.

    what do you wear?

    Default boots

Our standard issue boots at our department, the big rubber kind with the yellow toes, we refer to as "clown feet." They are big and ungainly and don't fit well between the rungs of a ladder.

So, my husband and I took our paid-on-call money and each bought a pair of Pro Warrington's. They are light, comfortable, and feel like just having regular shoes on. SO much easier to do everything without feeling like we have leaden snowshoes on. Best money we have spent in recent years!

    Best wishes,
    Amy

These are the same style that I have
They are Pro Warrington 5000. I got em off ebay brand new, in my size for about $150

They feel like a pair of heavy running shoes. I <3 them

They are about 1573639x better then rubber.

Any problems with the sole clicking, or water leaking in yet? I had those, and loved them, but they developed the problems I mentioned. I returned them and got the new Pro Warrington 5006, very similar, but the bottom is all leather. Awesome, very light boots.

Sole has never clicked, but after soaking in copious amounts of water, they is a small amount of H2o in my boots. I am not sure if I would be able to return they boots, since I got them through eBay.....

    The new Globe Magnum Boots.

I would have to agree the Leather boots are the best Warrington Pro's are like walking around in sneakers all day. Compare that to the snow boots, and I believe the choice is simple.

Default Our department has a mixed batch

Some of our guys wear the Globe boots and love them, while others have opted for the airboss boot. Both have the same level of comfort, based on the feedback we've gotten, but the airboss is about 1/3 of the price of the Globe and covers you for haz mat.

    Good luck.

    Default Warrington Pro 5006

I am considering order a pair of Warrington 5006 boots. Has anyone had a problem with coverage on the BACK of the leg where the boot is three (3) inches shorter? I was curious if anyone's bunker pants ride up and over the top.

I have the 5006's, upgraded from the 5000's that leaked and clicked. Been in a few jobs with them, very comfortable, no leaks, and no problem with them being too low. I find them more comfortable than the 5000.

    Talking 5006's

These are by far the best boots I have had. The back has never ridden up past the top of the boot on me at all, and they are the best fitting I have had.

I had a few other leathers from multiple companies, and these are by far the best, most comfortable and best built boots!
