Default Pump Testing at the Station

I've been reading about companies that test your pumps at your station without the use of a drafting pit.
Does anyone have some good pictures or better yet a set of plans, for the diffuser that is needed?
Is this something that can be bought or is it custom built?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know that UL does this type of on site testing, might want to give them a call.

I know this is an old thread but what the heck here is some information on fire pump water flow test equipment.

    http://www.hosemonster.com/hosemonster5.html

Here you can see the hose monsters in use http://www.hosemonster.com/gallery.html

This equipment is used by many sprinkler contractors to test industrial fire pumps. I have used this equipment many times and it is a safe and very accurate way to test water flow. They have a build in pitot tube that can measure water flow, also FM approved. They do not move when flowing 1,000 gpm or more and are portable and fast to set up.

    Hope this helps.

This is the website of the company we use. It has worked out very well so far. If we need the truck for a call, it can be available in a few minutes.

Maybe something on his site will help.
