Helicopter, Scmelicopter, who cares? What bothers me is the Hypocrisy. As the AG of NY he “cleaned up” Wall Street by using the Martin Act like a Tommy Gun forcing alleged wrongdoers to answer any question he put to them under threat of jail. The Governors aides refuse to answer direct questions from reporters, let alone under oath. This from a man who trumpeted the “publics right to know” as a justification for his own strong arming conduct. If a CEO claimed he didn’t know what was going on, Spitzer threatened jail time. Shouldn’t our public officials be held to the same (if not higher) ethical measure?
This is a Classic duck and cover strategy.
Anyone feel the same way?
