    Default Been there

I went down this road in March 2007. There is no one in the state that will certify you. I called Lamar College and they gave me a quizzical look over the phone (Yes, it's possible). I must have e-mailed a half a dozen colleges and organizations and called as many just so they could all tell me that they don't know what I'm talking about.

There is a place in the greater Oklahoma City area that does it but they generally do it for specific departments. I drove to Castle Rock, CO to test. If you find someone who'll test and get you IAFF certified then you need to tell me.

If you live near or in the panhandle like me (Lubbock) then your best bet is to find a place in Colorado to test. No where in New Mexico does it either, as far as I know. If you're on the other side of the state, then you're on your own as I don't know what Arkansas does.

Most Dept's in TX do their own thing including CPAT. There are not to many depts that do CPAT. But Like I said most do their own testing and will not give you a cert saying you passed. The eonly one that might is Tarrant County Community College. Arlington was talking about going to them for the CPAT. Chris

Castle Rock is about 8 hours away so it's like driving to College Station from here so in the grand scheme of things that was not a crazy bad trip if I'm looking to test within the state of TX.

    Somebody needs a geography lesson...
